Three males stabbed on Avenue D during altercation

Shortly after 11 P.M. Saturday night The Rochester Police Department responded to the 700 block of Avenue D for a male stabbed.

RPD Captain Michael Callari says when officers arrived on scene they located three male adults who had multiple stab wounds.

There was an altercation of some sort Captain Michael Callari says.

RPD says the three men, who were stabbed at least once, are 51 and 31 years old.

A 31-year-old man from Rochester was charged with assault in the second degree and will be arraigned in Rochester City Court on a later date. The 31-year-old sustained some cuts to his upper body during the altercation.

All three of the males were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital where they’re being treated. All of the victims injuries are non-life threatening.

Captain Michael Callari also mentioned there was a large crowd gathering outside of the scene and was quickly disbursed.

The incident is still under investigation.

The road has since been reopened after being closed for the investigation.
