Arrest made in taxi drivers murder on Bay Street

Rochester police chief David Smith, and Mayor Malik Evans announced its third arrest following Sunday and Monday murders.

The latest suspect 36-year-old David Porter was taken into custody yesterday.

He was located in Chili and with the help of US marshals he was taken into custody.

The charges he’s facing are second-degree murder, first-degree robbery, and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

This is after he allegedly killed taxi driver David Treese III on Bay Street Monday.

He has also been convicted of three prior felonies. He will be held in the Monroe County jail with no bail or release.
