Building fire on Monroe Avenue in Brighton

Around 3 P.M. Wednesday the Brighton Fire Department responded to a structure fire. When Brighton Fire Department arrived on scene they saw flames and smoke coming from the rear of the building. Everyone inside of the building was immediately evacuated and accounted for. Firefighter were able to extinguish the fire shortly after their arrival.

The fire is under investigation and more details will be available as they come in.
