Difficult house fire on Texas Street

Around 11:08PM Thursday night Rochester firefighters responded to Texas Street for report of a house fire. Firefighters arrived on scene where they noticed heavy smoke coming from the home.

As crews were in the process of extinguishing the fire, the fire grew quickly, cause a 2 alarm to be called. As additional fire crews arrived on scene, the Rochester Fire Department was able to get the fire under control. It took 45 for firefighters to put the fire out.

The home was destroyed by the fire. The Red Cross is working with the family to provide housing.

No one was injured during the incident.

The Rochester Fire Department is investing the cause of the fire.
