New positions, new schedules as layoffs happened for the RCSD

Hundreds of Rochester City School District students and teachers will have a distraught discovery this morning.

Finding out their school schedules have been changed or positions switched because some teachers has been laid off. This is after the Rochester Board of Education approved proposed layoffs on December 19, 2019.

The Rochester City School District Board of Education approved a plan to eliminate 287 positions within the district, but later reduced the amount of laid off positions to 100.
