Taxi driver robbed and killed on Bay Street

Rochester police chief David Smith confirmed on Monday during a press conference, a taxi driver was shot and killed while working around 4 AM this morning.

They found is body on Bay Street, later locating his vehicle abandoned on Central Park.

The victim has been identified as 45-year-old David Treese III, City of Rochester resident.

Rochester Mayor Malik Evans says “this is senseless crime happening in our city”

No suspects are in custody and police are asking the community for help.
